Alyaah Hani
Alyaah Hani Anuar is a youth activist committed to advancing women's empowerment, democratic participation, and progressive social change. She currently serves as the Coordinator of Gerakan Perempuan Melawan, a youth-led movement dedicated to fostering feminist consciousness, leadership, and civic engagement among young women in Malaysia, and as the President of Liga Mahasiswa Malaysia. At MANDIRI, she is a team member supporting the Programme Coordinator in the implementation of programmes, youth engagement initiatives, and leadership development activities.

Her work centres on creating inclusive spaces for dialogue, empowering young people to participate meaningfully in public life, and strengthening grassroots movements for social justice. Through advocacy, community engagement, and movement-building, Alyaah is dedicated to nurturing a new generation of progressive leaders committed to building a more democratic and equitable society.
Ahsanul Akmal
Ahsanul Akmal is a student activist committed to advancing democratic participation, political education, and youth empowerment. He currently serves as the Deputy President of Liga Mahasiswa Universiti Malaya (UM), where he actively advocates for student leadership, civic engagement, and progressive social change. At MANDIRI, he is a team member supporting the Programme Coordinator in the planning and implementation of programmes, community engagement initiatives, and leadership development activities. His work focuses on fostering meaningful youth participation and creating spaces for learning, dialogue, and collective action.

Zaza Atira
Zaza Atira is a creative professional and youth activist passionate about democratic participation, youth empowerment, and social change. Born in Labuan, she holds a background in Games Design and Animation from Management and Science University (MSU), bringing a unique blend of creativity and strategic communication to her work. At MANDIRI, she serves as a team member supporting the Media Coordinator in strengthening the organisation's digital presence and public engagement initiatives.

Through creative communication and community engagement, Zaza is committed to amplifying youth voices and contributing to the growth of inclusive and democratic movements in Malaysia.
Fakrurrazzi (Peko)
Muhammad Fakrurrazzi is the Media Coordinator at MANDIRI and an emerging youth activist committed to political education and democratic engagement. He is currently pursuing a Master's degree at Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI). At MANDIRI, Peko leads the organisation's media and digital communications efforts, translating progressive ideas into accessible and engaging content for wider audiences. His work spans social media strategy, visual storytelling, and public outreach, with a focus on amplifying youth voices and fostering meaningful civic participation.

Norhamdin Nordin is a dedicated student activist and the Programme Coordinator at MANDIRI, focusing on empowering student movements. Formerly the President of Suara Mahasiswa UMS, a progressive student movement at Universiti Malaysia Sabah, he champions youth leadership and advocates for student rights. With a strong commitment to democratic participation and political education, Hamdin has been actively involved in student organising and grassroots advocacy.

Hamdin Nordin
Wong Kukui
Wong Kueng Hui, a former stateless individual, is a dedicated advocate for youth empowerment and social justice. As MANDIRI's Programme Coordinator, he champions youth democratic participation and inspires progressive ideas among young people. Drawing from his lived experience, Wong is deeply committed to advancing equality, inclusion, and civic engagement. He works closely with non-governmental organisations, activists, and student groups to strengthen youth participation in social and political movements.

His work focuses on political education, community organising, and building meaningful networks that empower young people to become active agents of change. Through MANDIRI, he continues to amplify youth voices and contribute to building a more democratic, just, and inclusive society.
Mohamad Alshatry is a former Senior Coordinator at SUARAM, where he led campaigns against police abuse of power and advocated for the establishment of the Independent Police Complaints and Misconduct Commission (IPCMC). A co-founder of MANDIRI, he holds an MSc in Government, Policy and Politics from Birkbeck, University of London, as a Chevening Scholar. With extensive experience in human rights advocacy and policy reform, his work has focused on issues of institutional accountability, democratic governance, and civil liberties in Malaysia.

Mat Shatri
Dobby Chew
Dobby Chew is the co-founder of MANDIRI and Chief Executive Officer of Hayat, an organisation advocating for the abolition of the death penalty in Malaysia and broader criminal law reform. With over a decade of experience in human rights advocacy and activism, she has worked extensively on issues relating to justice, legal reform, and the protection of fundamental rights at both the national and international levels. He previously served as Programme Manager at SUARAM, where he led advocacy and research initiatives on civil and political rights.

Dobby has been actively engaged in international efforts to advance human rights and has collaborated with civil society organisations, policymakers, and global advocacy networks on criminal justice reform. His work focuses on building a more humane and rights-based legal system through public education, policy advocacy, and grassroots engagement.
Amir Hadi
Amir Hadi is a Malaysian activist and co-founder of MANDIRI. With over a decade of experience in activism and advocacy, he has been actively involved in advancing youth empowerment, democracy, and human rights in Malaysia and the region. He co-founded Liga Rakyat Demokratik (LRD), served as the Senior Coordinator of SUARAM, one of Malaysia's leading human rights organisations, and was the first coordinator of Gerakan Hapus Akta Hasutan (GHAH), a coalition of more than 100 civil society organisations advocating for the repeal of the Sedition Act.

A recipient of the prestigious Chevening Scholarship, Amir holds an MSc in Politics of Asia from SOAS University of London. His work spans political education, grassroots organising, public policy advocacy, and leadership development, with a particular focus on building progressive movements and strengthening democratic participation among young people.
