About MANDIRI
MANDIRI is a youth-driven organization founded in May 2024 by Amir Hadi, Mohamad Alshatry and Dobby Chew. Dedicated to empowering young leaders, promoting democratic participation, and fostering progressive ideas, MANDIRI aims to build a just, inclusive, and sustainable future for Malaysia and beyond.
Through initiatives like the Mahasiswa Bangkit Project, MANDIRI focuses on uniting student leaders, advocating for their rights, and building a strong, cohesive movement that champions democratic values and social justice. By fostering leadership, providing platforms for collaboration, and amplifying youth voices, MANDIRI strives to empower the next generation of changemakers.
Rumah MANDIRI, located in Petaling Jaya, serves as the organization’s headquarters and a hub for progressive action. It is a space where young leaders gather to exchange ideas, build partnerships, and develop impactful solutions to the challenges faced by their communities and society at large. With two guest rooms available, Rumah MANDIRI also accommodates collaborators traveling from outside the city, ensuring accessibility and inclusivity.
MANDIRI also conducts research and collaborates with local youth movements to better understand the needs and aspirations of young people across Malaysia. Through focus group discussions and targeted outreach, MANDIRI identifies pressing issues and works towards practical solutions that address these challenges.
With a commitment to social justice, human rights, government transparency, economic equity, and environmental sustainability, MANDIRI is building a movement that not only transforms Malaysia but also inspires regional solidarity and progress. Together, MANDIRI and its allies work to create a future where fairness, opportunity, and collective well-being are at the core of society.
